At UPG Electrical, we take the time to assist our clients with material selection in order to keep steel costs as reasonable as possible, while also sourcing the best-suited steel grades and specifications for each application.

Our in-house slitting capabilities and sourcing of master coils, enables us to maintain global steel sourcing relationships that contribute to our ability to control costs, while also having access to a wide selection of steel grades and specifications. In addition, UPG Electrical’s annealing technology and techniques increase the performance of the electrical steel laminations, often enabling a lower cost steel to generate the equivalent electrical performance of higher grade steels.

UPG Electrical also utilizes other metals such as brass and copper when applicable. We perform full material validation and testing on all materials used, and offer mill-quality metallurgical testing and capabilities.
