MIG Weld-Cell Operator - 2nd Shift
Location: Monroe, WI
Duties and Responsibilities
- Set-up Welder, to include change overs and change out wire as needed
- Operate the welder, Load parts Welder and cycle
- Inspect and gauge parts as required
- Adjust the welder as required
- Unload and parts and deliver to next operation
- Fill out QRRs and other required paperwork
- Postproduction in ERP system
- Maintain good house keeping
- Communicate any issues with your supervisor
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Read and understand Calipers, GO/NO GO gauges, height gauges, and feeler gauges
- Read and understand Prints, QRR's, and work instructions
- Lift 50 pounds
- Trouble Shooting Ability
- Able to use power tools safely, such as grinder
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent experience in manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities and Authorities
- Conduct quality checks based on control plan / QRR requirements and determine conformance of product characteristics and process controls with respect to requirements within the scope of the QRR; and record objective evidence of that activity accurately as required.
- Stop production in the area of operation pertaining to this job function scope in the event the process is producing nonconforming product or waste.
- Positively control nonconforming product and alert supervision and Quality Assurance in the event nonconforming product is discovered.
- Understand and periodically review documentation pertaining to the job function and request revision of process documentation when appropriate.
